All children under 8 must be buckled into a federally-approved child restraint system when riding in a car.

You can get a free car seat inspection by a certified car seat technician at one of Department of Transportation's (DOT) Safety City locations or at a special free car seat inspection event.

You must make an appointment for all car seat inspections at Safety City locations. Appointments are not required at the special car seat events.
